Located Directly in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains, lies Rock Ridge Retreat At Royal Blue. What's so special about this place? Rock Ridge Retreat is a boutique resort with only 20 RV Sites and 4 Cabins. We specialize in providing a true camping experience with high end amenities but without the crowd. Best of all, no more being crammed into small campsites so close to your neighbors you can hear them breath.  . 

 We encourage guests to get out and explore. Here at Royal Blue the exploring is limitless as you can go trail riding on horseback or rent an ATV to hit more than 600 miles of trails winding through the Appalachian Mountains and go sightseeing for wildlife such as elk and bear in over 200,000 acres of protected land. But if exploring is not your thing, we also have campground amenities that caters to those who just want to relax and get away from the busy city life. Come lounge by our pool, grab a drink from the Tiki Bar and watch your troubles melt away as the surrounding mountains take you back to a different place and time! 

If you are just passing through the area and need a place to rest, look no further. Our pull-through RV sites are capable of handling the biggest of Motorhomes!

RV Sites

Rock Ridge Retreat At Royal Blue has 19  beautifully landscaped RV sites that are flat and spacious. Come enjoy a true camping experience in the Appalachian Hills with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a view like no other! Our pull-through sites are at least 40ft (wide) X 90ft (Length)!


Tiny Homes (Cabins)

Come Experience what all the fuss is about! Tiny Homes have all the modern day amenities you would find in your home but built within 396 square feet or smaller. Our tiny homes can accommodate 2 to 6 people depending on which tiny home is chosen

Resort Style Pool With Waterfall (Coming May 28th, 2022)

Come and experience the Appalachian Mountains in a way like no other! Sit by The pool and take in the breathtaking views from the valley in Pioneer, TN



Be sure to take a hot shower in our new bathhouse. Bathhouse contains 4 shower stalls (2 for the women and 2 for the men).

The Cove Bar and Grill (Opening Date TBD)

Located between the General Store and pool is the "The Cove Bar & Grill". Here you will find concession style snacks and drinks that you can enjoy by the pool or under our shaded patio.


General Store

We’re happy to provide our guests with an on-site General Store that stocks items for all your camping needs! Please be sure to stop by for any additional information needed for the campground.


SXS Rentals

We partner with our neighbor,  Royal Blue Off-road Rentals, to offer a family thrill like no other! Be prepared to get behind the wheel of a Side X Side and hit the trails within a 1/4 mile of our campground and explore more than 600 miles of trails scattered throughout the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. You will discover hidden gems such as waterfalls, abandoned prisons, caves, exotic wildlife such as Elk, and much much more!! No trailering is needed as you are allowed to ride the roads directly to the trails from our campground. Rock Ridge Dog Park

Opening June, 2022 is our new 3 acre dog park 3/4 surrounded by Stinking Creek. Here you will be able to walk your pet and let them take a leap into the creek to cool from the heat of the summer! This area is not fenced but is barricaded by water and a thick tree line. Please keep pets under control in this area.

Campground Rules

A quite place to stay, relax and explore



--No Night time riding on SXS/ATVs. We expect all guests to be back to the campground by 10 PM EST. Per Campbell County, TN law, all SXS must be off the roads by dusk. Gate closes at 10:PM.

--4 People per RV site. Those with 3 or more children or bringing immediate family members (grandparents, etc) will be allowed. $10 per night charge when exceeding 4 adults. All guests must register at check-in.

--2 SXS per RV site. Max. No exception to this rule

--1 RV or 1 tow vehicle per site. Second vehicle may be allowed but must buy permit and use parking area next to bath house. Second vehicle allowance is not for friends or family to come park and ride. This is for registered guests only. Even with a second vehicle, guests must still be under 6 people per site and 2 SXS per site. Parking for additional vehicles is very limited and will be first come, first serve unless a parking permit is purchased online at time of booking. Once full, vehicle will not be allowed to park on the property.

--1 vehicle and 2 SXS allowed for each cabin. If a second vehicle is necessary, a parking permit must be purchased. Parking for that vehicle will be next to the bathhouse. Extra parking is very limited and often fills up. No extra parking once the parking area is filled.

--Only registered guests allowed on the premises. No outside visitors allowed unless approved by office. Highly Enforced and we will ask you to leave if this rule is broken.

--Stay off the grass and landscaping. NO driving or parking vehicles, or SXS, on the grass at all. $200 fine will be auto charged to your credit card if this rule is broken and you will be asked to leave.

--SPEED LIMIT (all vehicles): 5mph throughout campground. We are family campground and expect this rule to be followed at all times. You will be asked to leave if you, or any one in your party, speeds through the campground.

--Place trash in dumpster located between the two barns at the front of the property. $50 fine if trash is left in garbage cans after your departure.

--Responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted in the campground

--Washing RVs, vehicles or SXS. is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the campground. There is a SXS wash station owned and operated by DTF located within a 1/4 mile of our campground on Stinking Creek Road.

--No “joy-riding” in the campground. It causes dust accumulation and makes the campground less enjoyable. Ride in and ride out as little as possible.

--NO FIREWORKS in campground!

--Firewood, fire starters, and kindling must be certified (purchased or obtained within 30 miles of the campground). Firewood can be purchased from the general store. Do not push trash in the firepits!

--Fires in designated pits/rings only – NEVER on GRASS.

--No makeshift RVs or tent camping. Your RV/Camper must be manufactured and registered as such when originally built.
